As a traditional manufacturing industry, GaoXin Group is facing an increasingly competitive global market. Turkey, India and other countries are become strong opponents for GaoXin Group export business in foreign market.The same type of production line repeating construction caused increasingly intense price competition in domestic market. And the customers are more critical on product quality, delivery time ever than before. GaoXin Group needs to introduce new management modual in order to reduce product costs, improve product quality, and build core competitiveness. The successful implementation of Six Sigma management at Motorola, General Electric, Sony and other companies make GaoXin Group recognize it is inevitable choice for the company to introduce Six Sigma management modual.The thesis research Six Sigma implementation in the GaoXin Group based on project.The thesis is divided into 5 parts. Part 1 is preface, including GaoXin Group brief introduction, topic background and Six Sigma roadmap. Part 2 is relevant literature overview, including basic concepts, commonly used Six Sigma tools and GE six sigma implementation successful experiece. Part 3 is project planning and implementation. The project is carried out through Six Sigma DMAIC roadmap.It includes the definition of project scope and project objectives (D), measuring the current level (M), analysis of X Factor (A), experimental design (I) and standard SOP (C) step by step. It reaches the final target of improving GaoXin Group spunlace line capacity via the scientific skill. Part 4 is project implementation results and evaluation. It summarizes the results of the implementation project and gives positive and to-be-improved evaluation. Section 5 is conclusion.The successful implementation of Spunlace production line capacity increasing achieved good economic result. At same time it exposed the existing management problems, improved the problem-solving abilities of management team and impacted "ways of doing things" as qualitative analysis, but also it convinced top management team to recognize the necessity and importance of six sigma implementation.Of course, there are many areas for improvement, such as less participation of high-level manager, the lack of information platform, etc. It has provided valuable experience for the subsequent success of the project, and it build a solid foundation for Six Sigma implementation in GaoXin Group as strategic level.
