Land resources as a non-renewable resources is receiving more and more attention, the land use change research has become an important part of global change research, driving force of land use change is difficult and key research. In China's large population, land resource is shortage, the study of urban land use change to realize regional sustainable land use and the development of social economy to have the important meaning. Domestic and foreign scholars on the change of land use driving force studies showing that the change of land use is influenced by both natural factors and social economy and so on.Weifang as a very typical area, since the reform and opening economy is growing rapidly, economic development will inevitably bring land use pattern changes, however,the change of land use and its driving force in Weifang's research also is less, therefore, to integrate relevant statistics data, and by using the data analysis software SPSS, combined with the land use policy in Weifang, Studied within a decade between 1999-2008 within the jurisdiction of Weifang City,the state land-use change,and the situation of the index of the correlation analysis and principal component analysis, Weifang municipal districts shall determine the main land use change driving factors in the analysis basis, from the population, economic development, urbanization and industrialization, policy, analyzed the factors of the social economic drive mechanism. Hope that helps to understand Weifang municipal districts land use change of causes and mechanism, impels the land use toward the rationalization and scientific process of healthy development direction.
