Industry Status And Development Of Wenzhou Ougan

This paper reviewed the historical development of Wenzhou Ougan (Citrus reticulata CV. Suavissima) and demonstrated its changes in the industry of Wenzhou madarins as well as the acceptance of government and consumers. In addition, we analyzed and evaluated the current situation and future development trend of Wenzhou Ougan, including good variety characteristics, broad market prospect and high brand effect. Besides, we overviewed the origin, biological characteristics, cultivation and management technology, nutritional value, medicinal value of Wenzhou Ougan and so on.Based on the industrialization status of Ougan, great progresses have been made for the development of the fruit. However, there are also exist some problems for sustainable development of Wenzhou Ougan, including low standard production level and industrialization status, ragged cultivation and management level, incomplete basic equipments, imbalanced regional development, bad fruit quality, narrow sales channels and so on.Future plans have been made with the aim to achieve sustainable development, including scientific design, well-bred base construction, popularity of standardization technology, establishment of famous market brand, improvement of the industrialization level, expansion of marketing system, enhancement of the supervision system of seedlings, development of urban leisure agriculture, more attention to scientific research and so on. In addition, we should attach importance to scientific research including construction of Ougan resources nursery, study of its medical and health-care functions, the beverage production technology and so on.Moreover, more promising suggestions are proposed, such as implementing brand strategy, strengthening professional cooperation organization construction, promoting technology and training, increasing the added value of product.
