Internet Of Things Business In Shandong Unicom Company's Development Research

As the competition among telecommunication operators increasingly intensifies, the traditional voice communication service has not been able to meet the needs of our customers; the major telecommunication carriers have transition for the interests of the new growth point. The Internet of things of the rise and development has a profound impact on the communication enterprises, which changes the way of enterprises' business scope and operation mode. As the northern important basic telecommunication operators, Shandong Unicom in the era of the Internet of things is facing great challenge and competition, also faces the opportunity to develop and grow his own. The characteristics of IOT project determined that the traditional communication service business mode is no longer viable. To continue in the era of the Internet of things to stay ahead, Shandong Unicom must comply with the laws of market development and search for his own development project management process.Project management is the application of knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project activities in order to meet or exceed stakeholder needs and expectations from a project. Applying the idea of project management to IOT, will be effective to control project cost, cycle, scope and risk, improve project success rate of IOT.First, this article provides a brief overview of project management knowledge and IOT, presents effective management for target, time, cost, communication and process. Secondly, this paper introduces the Shandong Unicom IOT Business Development, analyzes Shandong Unicom Company to carry out IOT business by using the method of SWOT and makes IOT Business Development Strategies of Shandong Unicom Company. Thirdly, based on the idea of project management, this paper divided the IOT project into four processes by project's life circle--that is, initiating and scheming processes, planning and organizing processes, executing and controlling processes, closing and evaluating processes-and discussed each process in the important management activity in detail. At the same time, the author also established some management document templates combining with Shandong Unicom IOT projects' experience. Finally, the author combined with development process of Shandong Unicom IOT, through the actual operation of the IOT business development project on the research conclusion of this thesis is carried on the practice. The results of this study, for communication enterprises to develop IOT business, has a certain reference value.
