Research On The Influencse Of Tourism On Urbanization In Zhangjiajie

Urbanization is the inevitable trend of society. Because of its wide scope of industry, tourism becomes an important impetus to promote the process of urbanization, especially for the tourism cities, such as Zhangjiajie, Sanya, Guilin and etc. Zhangjiajie established and gained developments on the base of tourism. In the influence of tourism——the original impetus, Zhangjiajie developed from scratch and became a medium-sized city, accompanied by the conversion of backward agricultural society to modern civilization society. However, the researches on this are so rare, which lag behind the practice. As a result, the research selects the Zhangjiajie's urbanization under the influences of tourism as an object, analyzing its influences on urbanization, including the impetus of urbanization, the Mechanism, concrete representations of each stage on urbanization, and analyzing the characteristics and problems of urbanization in Zhangjiajie, then putting forward useful strategies to realize its sustainable development. The paper presents its content as below:Firstly reviews the study of urbanization, the influences of tourism on urbanization, and tourism of Zhangjiajie, then introducing the industrial lifecycle theory and "S" curve theory of urbanization, and clarifying urbanization and its measure Indexes.According to the industrial lifecycle theory, and the history of tourism in Zhangjiajie, the paper gives an analysis of the development of tourism in Zhangjiajie, and dividing it into three parts as the beginning stage, initial development stage, and growth stage. Then analyze the influences of each stage on urbanization, including the impetus, the Mechanism, concrete representations.From the perspectives of the measure Indexes and concrete representations of urbanization, the paper analyzed the characteristics and problems of urbanization. At last, in order to propel the development of urbanization in Zhangjiajie, the paper put forward useful strategies to strengthen its impetus and improve quality's perspectives.The result indicated that tourism played an important role in the urbanization in Zhangjiajie, the level of urbanization increased greatly, but still has some problems; to a certain degree, the development of urbanization in Zhangjiajie is the response to tourism; in each phase, the influences that tourism on urbanization in Zhangjiajie are different.
