Research On International Food Trade Of China Based On Food Safety

"Hunger breeds discontentment, safety is the supremacy for food". With the improvement of living standards in the new century, the requirement of food is not only fresh and delicious food, but also food safety quality. However, in recent years, the frequent occurrence of food insecurity issues not only poses a threat to the health of people, but also severely affects the development of foreign food trade of China. In the context of economic globalization, China has become one of the leading food export country in the world. TBT, SPS, environmental regulation, and various food safety barriers of food import countries are not to be ignored for the sustainable development of food trade of China.This thesis is based on food safety, it is one of current society focus, and it directly related to our daily lives, so we will study its effect on the food foreign trade development of China. It first introduces background, purpose, significance, ideas and methods of this thesis. The second part focuses on the meaning and impact factors analysis of food safety. The third part makes an overview of food safety system, and expounds TBT and SPS agreements about food safety in WTO, and food safety management system in major trading partners. The fourth part analyzes the development of global and food trade of China, and lays the ground for the following trade effect impact analysis. The fifth part systematically analyzes the effect of food security to the food trade of China, including the implementation form and trade effect on import and export countries of TBT, SPS and environmental regulations, which is the most important and difficult part of this thesis. Finally, the measures to deal with food safety issues of food trade of China are proposed, such as better food safety regulations, promotion of construction of food industry, improvement of food quality, enhancement of social food safety inspection etc, which are reasonable on the healthy and sustainable development of foreign food trade of China.
