Study On Sino-russian Food Trade

China and Russia are close to each other geographically and maintain friendly political relations.Economic and trade cooperation between two countries has a long history,after decades of development,Sino-Russian trade has reached an unprecedented high level.In recent years,food trade has entered a period of rapid development.Implementation of the belt and road initiative strategy and rapid economic development has brought more vigorous international demand for food products of these countries.In the near future,international trade in food between Russia and China will become the most promising direction.Therefore,study of Sino-Russian food trade has significance for future economic and trade cooperation promotion.This article introduces relevant international food trade concepts,basic processes,and related theories,including: comparative advantage theory,factor endowment theory,intra-industry trade theory,and international competition theory;describes current development of Sino-Russian international food trade,economic data and structure of food trade,current laws and regulations,import and export policies,and related regulatory structures.Based on international trade theory and Sino-Russian food trade current data,we have conducted detailed studies on a series of issues existing in food trade between two countries,including customs clearance issues.such problems as procedures complicity,grey custom clearance,black custom clearance etc.;influence of technical barriers at business costs,export restriction issues;safety and quality of products and food safety issues;irrational food trade structure etc.;The main reasons for these problems include: differences in tariff policy systems between China and Russia,lack of supervision and management of food quality and safety.These factors,influence China and Russia food trade development,require attention and concern of the government.In response to the above-mentioned major issues in Sino-Russian food trade,we propose relevant measures to solve these issues,including further improving of tariff management system,strengthening food safety management and supervision,market research stimulation,market demand research,food trade structure adjustment and promoting the healthy and rapid development of food trade have certain reference significance for international trade studies.
