With economic development, market competition becomes increasingly fierce. More and more companies realize that it is not only the competition of the companies'strength, but also the supply chains. Meanwhile, to gain more advantages in competition, many companies outsource the non-core business to professional suppliers, and concentrate on strengthening and developing the core business, which develops the strong points and avoids the weak points, and also enhances the competitiveness. Under this situation, modern supply chain management is a key link in company development. The role suppliers play, who is the chief link in the supply chain, is getting more important. Therefore, to most companies, it is significant to be aware of how to manage the suppliers appropriately and effectively. Suppliers is a strategic card, and supplier management becomes effective in business competition.Battenfeld company is a medium-small corporation that concentrates on business in plastic extruder's manufacture and trading. Battenfeld's product technology and quality both are leader in plastic extruder industry. Meanwhile ,we provide excellent service and leading solution. But with Battenfeld's development, the poor supplier management made Battenfeld's development became more and more difficult under production model of assembly line, such as production delay, uncontrolled cost, unqualified quality,etc.This dissertation use data analysis method and on-site observation analysis method to analyse Battenfeld's supplier internal and external management according to supply chain management principle ,supplier management and supplier relationship management principle. According to situation of Battenfeld's supplier management, we get the existing management problems : unreasonable supplier structure, unreasonable arrangement between sourcing department and purchasing department, low passed rate in machine part, etc. We take measures to improve supplier's management according to actual problems, including setting up supplier relationship management, improving supplier performance management, implementing supplier classifiable management, etc. Finally, we hope that we cloud improve Battenfeld's supplier management according to above measures, meanwhile, we hope it can be useful to related manager in supplier management.
