China HVAC market has been experienced a significant growth since last over twenty year development. Along with the competition barrier associated with compressor technology is being broken, more and more new players are entering into this market besides of traditional four big brands from US and in subsequence, the market competition becomes a more intense.As the earliest brand invested in China HVAC market, Carrier is losing its market leader position in recent years when facing to more intense competition. In face of increasing competition in the market, it is key for Carrier to figure out how to use its advantage on resources and work out series competitive strategies to increase its market share, strengthen the leadership in the market with focus on product development and marketing strategies set-up.There are total six chapters. The 1st chapter exordium introduces research background, research purpose and significance, summary of theory used and main contents. The 2nd chapter gives a landscape of today's China HVAC market including industry development trends and market size. The followed 3rd chapter introduces the history of Carrier global and its development history in China and gives a analysis on internal and external factors of company and overall competition status in the market. The 4th chapter analyzes industry structure factors by Porter's theory of Five Competitive Force Model and also uses SWOT methodology to analyze company's internal and external environments. The 5th chapter is a planning of development strategy for Carrier China with focus on production development, marketing strategy and after market strategy based on previous analysis. The last chapter defines other supporting measurements to ensure a successful implementation of proposed strategies.
