China automobile industry has developed rapidly in recent years. It is estimated that in future more than ten years, sales of national automobile will continue to maintain about 15% growth rate. The rapid increasing of automobile industry makes forward logistics maintain moderately rapid development. However, as the vehicle population increases, the number of scrapped cars is gradually growing. If not timely treatment, it is not only a waste of resources, but also brings serious pollution. Processing and effective utilization of these waste resources have been put on the agenda. But, the traditional supply chain management just studies the forward process of production from raw material to customer, without considering the treatment of used waste products by customers. Reverse logistics, as a supplement to forward logistics, provide a solution to environment protection, efficient utilization of resources and effective achievement of sustainable development. Combining the vehicle forward supply chain and reverse supply chain to form a closed-loop automotive industry supply chain system becomes an important issue. We should study and solve the issue. This thesis studies two basic problems in vehicle closed-loop supply chain management:1) Pricing strategies in different recycling modes of vehicle closed-loop supply chain, comparison and selection.2) The differential pricing model and contract coordination research on vehicle closed-loop supply chain.First, this paper outlines three recycling modes of vehicle closed-loop supply chain, including auto manufacturers recycling mode, auto retailers recycling mode and third-party recycling mode. Then, pricing models for each recycling mode in vehicle closed-loop supply chain is analyzed in detail, derives the optimal decisions and profits of manufacturers/retailers/third-party recyclers under different recycling modes. Finally, the three different recycling modes are compared, and find out that the recycling effort cost coefficients in different recycling modes are different, they have an impact on auto manufacturers profit, and thereupon affect the manufacturers' choice of recycling modes. The second part is the analysis of optimal pricing strategy of the participating enterprises in vehicle closed-loop supply chain when remanufacturing car and new car prices are different. Also, to the dual collinearity question produced by decentralized decision mode, two different pricing mechanisms are used to coordinate the differential pricing vehicle closed-loop supply chain:the revenue sharing contract and the franchise fee contract. The validity of the model is proven with examples.
