With the arrival of the information age, customers have growing demand for data and information. The user needs of Business software products had walked into mature stage. We can see the diversified and personalized demands are unceasingly highlighted, and the market space is continually expanded. Although one supplier of business software can provide various products, he is unable to meet every single requirement due to own limited capacity. Under the influence of high market profits, the suppliers adopt the way of cooperation to participate competition. They cooperate with each other on the area of technology and service while compete on the market fields and profits distribution. Both of these two situations coexist. This paper stands in the point of view of the business software suppliers to make a deep research about the co-petition strategy in the architecture of business software products. This paper aims to provide some reliable references to the supplier, so they can better cope with customers' requirement in the fierce market competition, enhance their own status and realize economy of scale.Based on the foundation of theoretical research, this paper analyses the product traits of business software, the connotation and the function of product architecture. It also makes an analysis and conclusion about the relationship of co-petition according to relevant contents and theories. With these two aspects, the mode of co-petition strategy is built. It further explains the driving factors of co-petition mode, the co-petition effect, cost effect and risk effect. On the latter part of this paper, there are several wise suggestions for suppliers who are in different stage development. In the end, the typical cases will be adopted to verify the theoretical mode.Mode of co-petition strategy in the area of business software products provides the reference to the suppliers who face the dilemma of own limited capacity and the user's demand. For a software supplier, this thesis plays some instructive meaning in setting company's development strategy.
