In the dynamic environment of rapid development of information technology and changeable market preferences,the core competitiveness of enterprises has become a relatively short-term competitive advantage,and market competition has intensified.Especially in the Internet competitive environment,the speed of product iterations has been greatly improved,and continuous product innovation output has become necessary for enterprise development.Product innovation should be based on the function and structure of the product,and consider the operability,sustainability,and compatibility with the environment to reduce the blindness of innovation and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of product innovation.However,the product architecture will continue to change under the influence of contextual factors such as internal organization and external environment.The vitality and extensibility of the product are reflected in the adaptability of the product architecture.Therefore,in-depth exploration of product architecture can grasp the internal mechanism of product innovation from the source,and enterprises can achieve the effective management of product innovation by analyzing the adaptive mechanism of product architecture.Existing research still lacks in-depth exploration of the realization mechanism of product architecture adaptability.This article first reviews the relevant literature on product architecture,summarizes the basic connotation and driving factors of product architecture adaptability,expands the definition of adaptability,and pays attention to the possibility of realization of adaptability.Secondly,the technical paradigm shift is used as a proxy variable in a dynamic environment.The research is based on the theory of architecture innovation and organization coordination.The analysis paradigm of “situation-process-result” is followed and the method of exploratory case study is used to analyze the software of Chanjet's working circle.Finally,through the case analysis,it was found that the realization of the product architecture adaptability mechanism benefited from the promotion of the organization's dual capabilities,and a product innovation mechanism was constructed with the product architecture adaptability and the organization's dual capabilities.The conclusions of this article were as follows:(1)The adaptation is the adaptive capability of product architecture.The open architecture formed by loosely coupled system design,such as standardized interface design,directly optimizes and adjusts modules and interfaces to achieve product innovation to adapt to changes in the dynamic environment.(2)The dual capability of the organization forms an important supporting role in the adjustment process of the product architecture adaptability.By coordinating the resource elements in the organization,the dual management mode of exploration and utilization,efficiency and innovation can be realized.(3)There are two ways of product innovation: "from 0 to 1" and "from 1 to 2",and the growth path of product architecture also follows "out of nothing(exploratory innovation)-active patchwork(utilization innovation)-symbiotic co-organization(Dual innovation)”.In the process of cyclical reciprocation,the product architecture continues to innovate to adapt to changing dynamic environments,promote continuous product upgrades,and achieve leapfrog development of the enterprise.The research results expand the understanding of product architecture adaptability,enrich product architecture theory,and open the black box of product architecture adaptability innovation mechanism.At the same time,the research dynamic expounds the process of organizational solution to the phenomenon of dislocation in the process of product innovation management,which provides reference theories and analytical methods for enterprises to face paradigm situation changes,fall into the dilemma of product innovation and the quagmire of core competence.The depth of the research in this article is not limited to the results of product architecture growth,but is more focused on revealing the product architecture adaptability mechanism and its evolution process,from product architecture form evolution to a more in-depth process mechanism research.
