Research On The Tourism Exploitation Of The Middle And Lower Reaches Of The Yuan River

Cultural tourism is the hot point of tourism in 21st century. As a typical poverty-stricken area and cultural frontier, the region alongside the Yuan River has obvious advantages in location and resources for developing tourism. Based on summarizing the tourism resources and current situation of development of the middle and lower reaches of Yuan River, this thesis firstly explains the features of marginalization of the region alongside the Yuan River and the reasons for its marginalization, then exploits and designs the tourism resources of the region alongside the Yuan River from the perspective of marginalization.This thesis can be divided into six parts. The first part introduces why the author chose this topic to research and the significance of the study. The second part is the brief introduction to the relative theories for exploiting the tourism resources of the region alongside the Yuan River. The third part argues the exploitation of tourism resources of the middle and lower reaches of Yuan River in detail by using the SWOT model. The fourth part puts forward the principles, objectives and thematic image for designing and exploiting the tourism resources of the middle and lower reaches of Yuan River. The fifth part takes the typical scenic spots as cases to do empirical study. The sixth part is the conclusion part. This thesis provides a personalized scheme for the middle and lower reaches of Yuan River which have not obvious advantage for developing tourism. It aims at rethinking the modern tourism program, putting forward assumption on the method that modern people use to relieve pressure, seeking for support on the regression of traditional travel and exploring new thought on the exploitation of tourism of poverty-stricken areas. The success of tourism exploitation of the region alongside the Yuan River will not only provide solid foundation for the revival of the cities alongside the Yuan River, but also provides a strong guarantee for the economic development and environment protection of Hunan province.
