Philosophy Reflection On The Paradigm Turn Of Science And Technology Innovation

Science and technology innovation has been highlighted as a key to measure the core competitiveness of a country or a region, in the wake of accelerating global economy integration and ever-changing new scientific and technological revolution in 21st century, as a result, all countries in the world try to seize the commanding point of scientific and technological innovation strategy game. At present, the academic and practical communities, therefore, focus on how to improve science and technology innovation from the perspectives of economics and management. There are some theoretical achievements from the views of sociology and philosophy to discuss science and technology innovation. Nevertheless, there are few to explore it systematically from the viewpoint of philosophical contextualism, intentionalism, metaphor. The project, hence, makes systematical and specific philosophy reflection on science and technology innovation deeply based upon philosophical three perspectives (contextualism, intentionalism, metaphor), combining updated three philosophical turns(linguistic turn, cognitive turn, rhetoric turn) as well as Kuhn's paradigm.The paper probes science and technology innovation systematically in view of the meta-theoretical level of philosophy and practice-lined inherence. It researches the evolution of science and technology innovation diachronically and synchronically, interprets what is science and technology innovation, its essence and internal mechanism, analyses how to achieve it as well as its paradigm turn and application significance, and makes the philosophy researches of its paradigm shift with the theories of context, intention, metaphor. First and foremost, based on ontology, it digs the nature and character of science and technology innovation in depth, and reveals its practice essence---that science and technology innovation is oriented with science and technology advances, subjects manage the essential powers to reform or innovate existing science and technology such as theories or methods etc, making achievements to fulfill their creative practice of transforming objective reality via medium. Moreover, based upon epistemology and holding the relationship among various elements of science and technology system, it discusses the structure between subject and object as well as innovation process, analyses its practical source, obtaining its inner mechanism. Finally, methodologically it explores three paradigm turns of science and technology innovation:context innovation theory shifting from individual innovation to collective innovation; intention innovation theory shifting from linear innovation to non-linear innovation; metaphor innovation theory shifting from explicitly-focused science and technology innovation to implicitly-focused one. It proposes an evaluation system for the methods and significances of paradigm turns of science and technology innovation, and conducts a comprehensive analysis the effectiveness of science and technology innovation axiologically.
