From the industrial point of view, tourism is a typical information intensively based industry. The features of tourism products such as allopatry, intangibility and synchronization of product and consumption, make tourism information to be the main element for tourists in traveling decisions making.With the development trend of personality, individuation, network in tourism, the tourism information need of tourists becomes stronger and stronger and the degree of dependency on information service becomes higher and higher. Therefore, it is particularly necessary to analyze the characteristics of the requirement of tourism information in the network environment. Only by grasping the real information demand of tourists, the information supply and demand can be effectively docked.This paper presents an exploratory study on this. In the chapter one, the research background is described and the definitions of tourism information and tourism information demand are given. Based on the related research result and method of tourism information demand at home and abroad, it pointed out that it is necessary and feasible to study tourism information demand through web text. The second chapter describes the methods of web-text analysis, and discusses the application of the content analysis and the opinion mining in this study. The chapter three sets up a category system, which covers seven categories containing seventy message subjects in all, and elaborates the process of web text converting into quantitative data. The chapter four provides an empirical study on tourism information demand in Hainan. According to the designed code system, the paper codes the1816subjective questions on Hainan tourism, calculate the frequency and draws the tourist information demand distribution of tourism destination. The chapter five is summary and prospects of this study.Based on web-text, this research makes use of content analysis and opinion mining analysis to seek the tourism information needs. It is an exploratory work at home and describes a referenced method for future research. In addition, the final results could be used as the basis for providing tourism information services of Hainan.
