The system and institutions of pension insurance can be considered as an important part inChina. The reform and development has not only related to the vast majority of workers of theretirement security institutions. But in some cases, it also referred to the process of reforming inChina's basic old-age insurance system and sustainable development. Both of the theoretical andpractical studies of old-age insurance systems do a win-win result on developing pension insuranceand social security theory. Moreover, promoting the deep level of the reform in the pensioninsurance institutions is of great importance.Shanxi Province is one of the pilot provinces of the pension system reform in China'sinstitutions. It is at the start point that the reform has not introduced specific reform proposals ofold-age insurance system. Especially in some cities, the reform has still remained stagnant. In thisprocess of reforming, the absence of legislation, city fragmented, low co-ordinate, the degrees ofreform are constantly exposed. The progress of pension system reforming has also been affected.This tentative research has adopted the data analysis, quantitative and qualitative-based analysis asthe means to analyze the reform of the pension insurance system and institutions in Shanxi Province.Based on the research of pension system reform at home and abroad as well as the relative problemsin reform, the reasonable suggestions of reform has figured out.The first part has introduced the evolution of Shanxi Province's pension insurance system. Inthis part, the pension reform of1995and2008in Shanxi Province has been described. Secondly,the status of the institutions in Shanxi Province, as well as problems in the process of reforming inthe pension insurance system has also been presented. The third part has indicated the presentationand analysis of the pension system reform from foreign public officials and business units in China.The revelation of the pension system reform of institutions in Shanxi Province has been concludedin terms of the above discussion. The fourth part has shown the relative suggestions of the pensionsystem reform of institutions in Shanxi Province. In this part, the classifications of units reformingare the foundation of the pension system reform of institutions in Shanxi Province. It has built and established the principles and the general idea of the reform as well as the brief summary of thereform programs have been implemented of the pension insurance system in institutions.
