With the advance of the national "The Twelve Five-Year" tourism plan, tourismhas been identified as a strategic pillar industry of national economy, while the massesare satisfied as a measure of the standard of its development. Therefore, the touristperception of destination has become the focus of a academics and tour operators.Northwest area includes Shaanxi Province, Gansu Province, Xinjiang UygurAutonomous Region, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Qinghai Province.Thisregion accounted for one-third of China's land area, rich in tourismresources.However, the size of the tourist market does not match with this resourceabundance. This paper, objected as tourist destination in the northwestern area,researched in perception theory of the tourism destination image, tourist satisfactiontheory and evaluation model theory. Through questionnaire by Guangzhou citizens,made the use of data analysis, modeling, etc. and combined the theory and practice,then graded all tourism destinations in the northwest area, aimed at promoting thedevelopment of regional tourism, to achieve the appropriate tourist resources andtourist market.This study is divided into the following sections: the first part is literature reviewof the tourist perception, visitor satisfaction and some other related researches;thesecond part is the theoretical basis of the article,including the concept of tourismdestination image perception, influencing factors and visitor satisfaction concept,influencing factors and evaluation of model theory; the third part is the main part ofthe article, at first, introduced the overview of the study area, including regionaltourism resources and tourism development status; secondly, according to dataobtained by questionnaire, analyzed travel preferences, travel motivations,influencing factors and the tourists perception of tourist destinations; thirdly,combined IPA analysis model and the SWOT analysis, according to the appraisalvalue of the respondents, divided the40attractions into four regions: the advantage area, opportunity area, weaknesses area and threats areas; finally, depending on theconclusions, put forward policy recommendations which aimed at promoting regionaltourism development and expanding the tourist market.
