Research On Regional Economic Radiation Of Wuhan Modern Service Industry

With the rapid development of information technology and acceleration of economic globalization, global show the trend of industry economy turn to the service economy. The United States, Britain, Germany and Japan have finished the transition to a service economy. In the rapid development of knowledge and technology, the internal structure of the service industry also appeared new characteristic, the rapid growth of modern service industry, which is knowledge intensive, high technology content and high added value.Since our country put forward "modern service industry" in1997, a series of policies have been issued to promote the development of modern service industry. At present, as the development level of Wuhan modern service industry is not high, the research on regional economic radiation of Wuhan modern service industry can expedite the development of Wuhan modern service industry, promote the regional central city's radiation effect of Wuhan, and improve the comprehensive competitiveness of Wuhan, by taking advantage of Wuhan's traffic, history and policy advantage.Integrated the domestic and foreign scholar's viewpoint, this article puts forward the concept of modern service industry as knowledge-intensive producer service industry based on high technology and modern management methods, and the traditional consumption service industry with the transformation of using modern science and technology, modern management operation mode. Based on growth pole theory and the breaking point theory of regional economic radiation theory, this thesis builds evaluation index system of modern service industry's regional economic radiation, in the aspects of industry foundation, scale, structure and potential of the modern service industry.After the analyses of the feature of industrial gross, spatial distribution and key industry of Wuhan's modem service industry, we make separate compare in centre China's6main cities and China's19sub-provincial cities, and make a summary of policy opportunity and industry status challenge of Wuhan's modern service industry. Taking19sub-provincial cities as reference objects, this thesis analyses the composition and size of Wuhan modern service industry's regional economic radiation, and makes a judgment radiation scope by weighted Voronoi diagram, then makes a compare on aspects of radiation zone's area, population and GDP. At last this thesis summarizes the key restricting factors of the regional economic radiation of Wuhan modern service industry, and gives out the importance and development countermeasure of the development of Wuhan modem service industry.To promote the regional economic radiation of Wuhan modern service industry is the intrinsic request of Wuhan City Circle's "Two Based Society" construction, the inevitable choice for Wuhan to become National Central City, the key supporting force for the rise of Central China and Central Triangle. I hope that the research can play a reference role in the promotion of regional economic radiation of Wuhan modern service industry.
