As the most reliable and safeguarded energy source in Chinese economic development, coals possess the irreplaceable nature and its leading role in energy production and consumption can not be changed in very short time. The demanding of coal energy in rapid growth of the Chinese economy gives expression to the volume growth. It exist serious and general problems in the coals industry at present, such as poor industry integrity,insufficient reserved resource,irrational coal mines structure and scale, and critical environment pollution.The coal production of our province basically satisfies the demanding for the provincial economic and social development, and also provides the significant energy guarantee and raw material supply for all provincial economic and social development. The well development of coal industry indeed plays an irreplaceable role in supporting and ensuring the swift and well development of provincial industrial economy. For quite a long time, Yunnan coals are belonging to scattered operation with the status of "Small,Scattered,Weak and Disordered",and with the positions of low resource recuperation rate,sole product structure,short coal industry chain,low product additional value and backward production technology. It is a great challenge to the profitability and sustainable of coal production enterprises. As a large state-owned enterprise group, we undertake not only the tasks of state-owned assets retaining and accretion, but also for the responsibility of its sustainable development. This study is based on the theory of coal enterprise management transformation and focused on the development strategy of a large state-owned coal enterprise group, combines my own practice experience in the coal enterprise management, and to explore the state-owned coal enterprise group in Yunnan looking for their own management transform pattern in development process.This study focus on the analysis of external environment for Yunnan Dongyuan Corporation, its current situation and existing problems, and the analysis of coal enterprise organization theory and strategic option. It helps to systematically study the management transform necessity, transform measures of Dongyuan Corporation so as to solve a series of problems due to irrational management mode and lack of internal system, and to find the solution and establish a new management system. This study aims at studying management transform of Dongyuan Corporation, rationalizing its management, improving its profit ability and impelling its operation management set in the right track and also plays a positive theoretical and practical significance in making Dongyuan become the leader in coal industry.
