In order to improve the competitiveness of the domestic tobacco corporations which are under the protection of the long-term monopoly system, State Tobacco Monopoly Bureau implements drastic reforms to meet the entry of foreign tobacco. It is no doubt that domestic tobacco industries confront both intense challenges and great opportunities.Taking Shanghai Tobacco (Group) Company as a case study, My paper concentrates on how to confront the arrival in accordance with reform system and establish channels. This article first uses of a SWOT analysis of the Shanghai Tobacco (Group)'s strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges, to find its own channel management problems, and then through the U.S. Philip Morris and Japan Tobacco Monopoly open system after the change of these two foreign Case to provide a reference and to assist and guide the future development strategy and channel management for the tobacco industry for China and the Shanghai Tobacco (Group) Corporation. In this paper, not only how to improve the current problems is studied, but also the future of the monopoly system after the abolition of the new channel is considered besides the anti-smoking campaign on trade and business brought about by the new changes is coming. This article gives the deepen reform of the Shanghai Tobacco (Group) Corporation and other industrial companies some of the feasibility of the proposal.
