As the major parts of the propeller, its manufacturing technology has become thecore technology of the shipbuilding industry. Because domestic belt grindingdevelopment time is short, although it has some breakthrough in some fields, therelatively complex numerical control belt grinding machine in structure and controlsystem design lags behind the developed countries. This issue it is based on the bothreasons and the whole of belt grinding machine and key components are proposed tostructure analysis and optimization design.So as to reduce the distance in the structureanalysis of machine to abroad. Through the structure analysis and optimization designget structure strength to meet the design requirements, the overall cost and the materialsof the machine has a large reduce. From the numerical control perspective, through thestatic analysis the four position of the grinding head contact wheel in three of thedirection of deformation have been obtained, the smooth curve is drawn by four pointsthrough the four positions. In the process of generating NC code, the displacement ofthe grinding head in the machining process of moving has been compensated, thus toreduce the influence of static deformation.On the base of summarization of machine structure analysis of the presentdevelopment, in order to solve the numerical control gantry grinding machine structureanalysis problem. With ANSYS finite element software for the platform, and using thesecondary development tools in ANSYS system developed which has a collection ofinterface parameterized modeling, finite element analysis, loading and the solving,result analysis and extraction in one of the gantry belt grinding machine finite elementanalysis system. With development of this system,the feasibility that regards ANSYS asthe platform of developing professional module was verified and working efficiencywas improved.Firstly, this article applied the secondary development technique ofANSYS to gantry belt grinding machine finite element construction analysis anddeveloped a practical procedure mold piece and set it in ANSYS as a part of theprogram.This procedure mold piece is a creative achievement for surface grindingmachine construction analysis. The essential method and procedure included in thisarticle for the secondary development of ANSYS has a widespread applicability.Secondly, the static, modal analysis and improving the structure are finished bycombined with the secondary development of the whole of the grinding machine interface. Through the analysis of the results can get contact wheel of displacementdeformation is the biggest, and can get the maximum deformation. The deformation ofthe grinding head in the beam of the four positions is obtained in this paper. Through theanalysis of grinding head contact wheel the different displacement in the threedirections the deformation curve can drawn. Through the curve on the one hand mayvery intuitive observe each direction of the specific deformation amount, to providereference for structure design. On the other hand the data can provides a support forlater NC code in compensation. The analysis of the natural vibration mode and theresonant frequency can be concluded through the whole of machine modal analysis. Theresonance is prevented in the process of operation through the modification structurestiffness and mass.
