Theoretical Basis And The Countermeasures Of Chinese Characteristic Ecological Civilization Construction

Ecological civilization is a concrete manifestation of the material and spiritual civilization on thenatural and socio-ecological relations. Its contents including awareness of relations between heaven andman, human behavior standards, socio-economic system, production and consumption behavior, and thematerial and mental products of relations between heaven and man. In addition, reasonable structure,scientific decision-making, recourses economizing, friendly environment, simple life, conscious behavior,public attending and harmonious system should be mirrored on the aspect of social mental outlook.With global ecological crisis becoming worse and worse, ecological issue has been taken highpercentage and become an important research topic in the contemporary academia. For our part, China haslisted as a high consumption, high pollution country so that rectify ecological issue has reached a criticalstage which can not be ignored any more. Ecological civilization construction has been proposed explicitlyat the Party’s Seventeenth Congress. Research and construction of ecological civilization has become thetheoretical and practical issues for our people.Foreign academic circles has thorough study of the causes of ecological crisis, and put forward somespecific strategies to solve the ecological crisis from multiple perspectives, but it is still a long way to solvethe ecological problems from root. Domestic academic circles bases on China’s national conditions and hasmade some valuable preliminary study through introducing foreign researches. But until now, whetherdomestic or foreign, ecological civilization is still in its infancy. Even until now it still has a complete andclear definition of ecological civilization and has a lot of debates on path choice issue. How to implement the ecological civilization from paper to practice is the lack of complete and systematic analysis anddesign.This thesis try to carry out exploration and research from a more macro level of ecological civilizationwith the principle of combining theory and practice, and combined with China’s actual situation to expoundthe theoretical basis of China’s construction of ecological civilization in a comprehensive way. They arevalue proposition of ecological civilization should correspond to scientific development perspective;ecological civilization is an inevitable choice when the three major civilization of which is materialcivilization, spiritual civilization and political civilization is facing crisis, and the four would have mutualsupport and complement; ecological civilization is the inevitable choice in solving China’s ecologicalenvironment, and analyses the feasibility of an ecological civilization in China from the theoretical basis,system security, strategic opportunity, and examines the current constraints of ecological civilization fromthe point of view of economic, ideological, institutional construction factors, and finally puts forwardcountermeasures on how to achieve an ecological civilization.
