In this paper, the development of Carbide gear scraping hob is reviewed and twoshortcomings that plane face gear scrape hob existing: Chipping phenomenon isserious and the accuracy declines quickly after regrinding is researched. On the basisof the research on the mechanism of the hard-toothed surface scraping, a novel hobmodeling method is proposed. This method is not only conquering the shortcomingswhich is traditional plane face scraping hob existing but also the drawbacks that withthe modulus get larger and larger, the error of the Convex gear hob scraping bladeincreases with the modulus get large. Large modulus convex gear scraping hobconfiguration is put forward, it is a basic of Scraping hob can be used for actualproduction process. In this process, developed a modulus convex gear scraping hobsharpening device which is simple and economy can be used in small company. Thishob can be sharpened at ordinary surface grinder conveniently, so research and designof this hob sharpening device has a certain practical significance and value.This paper is based on the research of the configuration of some existing varioustypes of Carbide scrapers hob.The question as follow is discussed under theenvironment of windows XP and with the help of graphics software development kit ofMATLAB.Also in this paper, some new idea about the configuration of large modulusconvex curved flank gear scraping hob and simulated annealing algorithm are in use toprogram and calculate optimized.It’s procedures are as follow, first it charts by thecalculation of configuration of convex curved rake, next it analyzes the discipline oferror diversification, last it charts by the discipline of error diversification and come tothe most valuable result, so get the most valuable charting. Finally it can complete thestudy of the configuration method of convex edge scrapers hob and get the data of howto process large modulus convex curved flank gear scraping hob. Through the study of the grinding mechanism of convex edge scrapers hob, weknow we should cutter grinding by the method of generating theory. However becausethe difference between transmission line and transporting method, meanwhile by thesharpening theory, we know if we want to realize the sharpening of large modulusconvex curved flank gear scraping hob, we must combine the liner feed system androtary motion system.First liner motion is caused by the screw shaft which is drivedby servo motor and fit on the base by bar axis, and then with the skateboard drived byscrew-nut it can make shell move along guide. Second rotary motion is that servomotor drive worm shaft, worm shaft and turbine turning at the fixed ratio, so this candrive the spindle and the hob on the spindle moving at the same time. However theindexing of the hob is realized by the encoder NC device fixed at the end of spindle.Finally, design three-dimensional modeling and virtual assembly of all parts by themodeling capabilities of CATIA, get the grinding device assembly model, and checkwhether all parts interferes each other, so can complete to establish the overall virtualprototype model.At the end of this paper, we made a static analysis on the critical component of thegrinding equipment. In this process, we mainly discovered the effect of distortion ofthe spare parts on the hob precision. Therefore, we adopt the ANSYS to make a staticanalysis on the principal axis and the lower Shell Body. And the result displayed thatthe strength of those spare parts could meet the practical processing, the stiffness couldassure a adequate precision of the hob during the sharpening process.
