Coal mine is an important energy foundation of our whole national economic operation, but coal mine accidents have caused great harm to miner’s lives and serious damage to mine’s production facilities, made the entire mine suffer severe damage, and resulted in great economic loss and extremely bad social impact. So we concentrate our attention on coal mine safety widely. The safety condition of mine ventilation system is directly related to the entire coal mine safety, it is the basic guarantee of the mine safety production, thus the safety evaluation of mine ventilation system is of important practical significance. According to the relations of man, machine and environment, mine ventilation system is a dynamic, complex, ambiguous system. The entire system safety is controlled by many factors, thus its safety evaluation involves many uncertainties. Therefore, choosing reasonable safety evaluation indicators and evaluation methods is a key factor. In this paper, the safety evaluation index system of the mine ventilation system was established according to the4M method based on the specific analysis of the basic principle of establishing an index system and the progressive hierarchy relations of the index levels. Each index level of safety was divided, and the levels of evaluation standards were given. The current safety assessment methods have their advantages and disadvantages. The integrated assessment method-unascertained measure and AHP combined was used. Based on the analysis about the difference of random information, fuzzy information, gray information and unascertained information, an unascertained measure evaluation method about safety evaluation of mine ventilation system was proposed. According to the unascertained measure theory, a mathematical model of unascertained measure ahout safety evaluation of mine ventilation system was set up and the unascertained measure function of each index was constructed. With the values of the unascertained measure, we can judge the safety grade of mine ventilation system according to confidence recognition guidelines. In the application of unascertained measure evaluation method, the most important thing is to determine the weighing values of various factors. The AHP method was used to determine the weighing values in this paper. Namely, the weight vector can be determined by constructing a judgment matrix to calculate its feature vector and then testify the consistency.In practice, we can apply this method to the Jinda mine ventilation system and give comprehensive evaluation of the mine ventilation system safety level. It is proved that the unascertained measure combined AHP integrated evaluation (?)>can deal with the uncertainty of evaluation information objectively and reasonably. In addition, the integration method can be widely applied to the practice of coal mine safety production and play a guiding role.
