CNC machine have a fast development and widely used in China. It is the result of computer information technology and traditional machine and it has become the most basic equipment in modern machinery manufacturing industry. CNC automatic bender machine as die-cutting industry’s main processing equipment, it plays an irreplaceable role in the packaging and printing, electronic and mechanical industries. Bender machine belong to metal forming kind of NC machine tools, it by the use of the bending forming process such as to die cutting blades distortion, and fold it into the actual shape and size. Based on the CAD/CAM technology for interactive graphical programming method has become a mature and reliable technique and been applied widely to the field of numerical control. At present, through the PC computer and the motion control card to build CNC system is a predominant technique in the hardware architecture of open CNC system. Motion control card is a very important part of PC-based open CNC system, for its performance has a direct influence on the accuracy of machine tool.This paper introduces a control system of NC automatic bender machine, both hardware and software components including. Through the second development tool--ObjectARX and MFC class libraries expand AutoCAD’s CAM function. The man-machine surface, two subsystems--interactive graphical programming subsystem and machining control subsystem developed with VC++6.0. And the corresponding USB movement control card which used for machining control realization was developed.The main research work is as follows:1) The current situation of the numerical control machine tools, CAD/CAM integration technology, interactive graphical programming, the most popular PC-based open CNC system is analyzed firstly. Then introduces the topic origin and research purposes.2) Exploring the bender machine’s mechanical structure and the electrical control system, including the feeding mechanism, bending institutions, punch bridge hole institutions, cut institutions, the position sensors and cylinders in bender machine tool.3) The development of the CAM function based on AutoCAD platform, including interactive graphical programming subsystem, and machining control subsystem. Then introduces the two subsystem and USB motion control card how cooperate in order to realize the control of bender machine. Introduces the interactive graphics automatic programming and machining control subsystem and the data interface between them, and parameters settings.4) The design of the hardware and software of USB motion control card. The circuit design of motion control card’s input module and output module. The input/output interfaces of motion control card. The software system design of motion control card.
