The construction of supramolecular compounds with high orderly structures from certain chemical substances through hydrogen bonds and π-π stack interactions has been a fascinating research field owing to their potential applications in molecular recognition, gas adsorption, transport and catalysis. The design and construction of supramolecular compounds are currently of great interests in the fields of supramolecular chemistry, materials science and life science. In the past decade, carboxylic acid supramolecular compounds have been widely studied because of their structural diversities and specific functions. The main work presented in this dissertation comprises of two parts:(A) an improved syntheses of3-carboxy-2-pyrazinecarbohydroxamic acid (HPZHA),6-hydroxypyrrolo[3,4-b]pyrazine-5,7-dione (HPPDO) and Pyrazine-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylic dianhydride (PTDA).(B) hydrogen bonding interactions stabilized frameworks of self-assembly formation of supramolecular compounds (HPZHA-HPZHA, PTCA-BPY and PTCA-BPY-Cl, PTCA-Pyr) derived from HPZHA or pyrazine-2,3,5,6-tetracarboxylic acid (PTCA) and nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compounds. HPZHA-HPZHA has been well characterized by IR, MS and signal crystal X-ray diffraction; PTCA-BPY and PTCA-BPY-Cl have been well characterized by IR, NMR, signal crystal X-ray diffraction, TGA and EA; PTCA-Pyr has been well characterized by IR, NMR and signal crystal X-ray diffraction also.We have gained HPZHA-HPZHA, PTCA-BPY and PTCA-BPY-Cl, PTCA-Pyr of novel structure by these characterization.
