Abstract/Summary:
As a newly emerged and promising field,supramolecular chemistry has captured the interests of chemists in the last decade.Up to now,metal-organic supramolecular compounds(MOSCs)and organic cocrystals have become more and more important in the field of supramolecular.As a natural polyphenolic compound,ellagic acid(EA),is capable of deactivating free radicals and have exhibited many excellent biological activities,such as anti-mutagenesis,anti-inflammatory,anti-cancer,anti-oxidation and so on.The cocrystal of EA and activate pharmaceutical intermediates may increase EA’s biological activity,and the MOSCs of EA and mental ions may active the intrinsic blood coagulation to alleviate of hereditary coagulation factor XII deficiency symptoms.But to our knowledge,the structures of EA-mental supramoleculars have not been reported so far.Therefore,it will be very significant to investigate the syntheses,cocrystal structures,properties of the ellagic acid-based supramolecular compounds.In this paper,we choose ellagic acid as the starting material and eleven novel supramolecular compounds based on ellagic acid were obtained by changing the concentration of raw material,solvent type,temperature conditions and so on under different conditions.All these compounds were determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction method and characterized by IR,UV-Vis,X-ray power diffraction.Firstly,1-4 were the first four crystals of MOSCs based on ellagic acid.Wherein,1 is 3-D porous structure and 2-4 are 2-D network structures.Secondly,5-11 are the cocrystal with the action of weak force such as hydrogen bonds,π-π stacking actions,electrostatic attraction.Wherein,compounds 5-8,11 are 3-D structures and compound 9,10 are 2-D layer structures.Meanwhile,fluorescence,gas adsorption,electrochemical properties and thermo gravimetry analysis of on part partial compounds were measured.The results show that:(1)1 with 3-D structure possesses the ability to adsorb nitrogen;(2)The MOSCs’ fluorescence emission exbibit red shifts compared with that of free EA ligand;(3)Electrochemical properties shows the reducibility of MOSCs are superior to EA’s;(4)TGA indicate that the thermostability of the cocrystals based EA may be related to the polarities of the other organic molecular:The higher the polarity is,the better stability can be observed.5,6,9 and 10 are very stable below 110℃.This work will provide theoretical guide for the design,ynthesis and application of new supramolecular compounds based on ellagic acid.
