| The bending of the metal material is one of the most important processing methods in thesheet metal processing industry, and it plays a vital role in the sheet metal processing industry.Bending machine being the bending processing equipment, directly reflects how advancedsheet metal forming industry has reached. Now, hydraulic driven bending machine domainsthe market, but it has the disadvantage of slow response, high maintenance costs andenvironmental pollution, thus the call for a new environmentally friendly and efficientbending machine is getting higher and higher. With the development of power electronics andelectrical manufacturing technology, the new servo motor direct-driven bending machine hasbecome the new direction of development of bending machine. Other hand, with numericalcontrol technology introduced into the bending machine, the difficulty of the operation of theuser drastically reduced, while processing efficiency improved.Based on the development direction of the bending machine, this paper presents a newbending machine CNC system focusing on the metal material bending crafts. It takes theuniversal PC, open motion control board and general servo system as its hardware platform,and the open CNC system EMC2as its software platform This scheme has the followingadvantages of excellent flexibility, portability and scalability.The paper first analyzes the basic working principle of the bending machine, and then thesummarization of domestic and international development trend of the bending machine andbased it, the overall program of all-electric bending machine based on the open CNC systemEMC2was proposed. And then the underlying core software platform EMC2is analyzeddetailed, including its over-all software framework,the principle of the modules and thecommunication mechanism among them. Then, modification and configuration of EMC2hadbeen made to make it to run on the new hardware platform and to provide the special I/Oaccording to the special request of the bending machine. Next, focus is put on the study ofbending craft, especially on calculation algorithm of the feed depth of the lower die. Aself-learning control algorithm based on the material properties and existing correction anglehad been proposed, greatly improve the bending accuracy. Finally, the bending craft orientedGUI of bending machine was re-designed and implemented under the EMC2software architecture. The introduction of the SQLite database optimized data storage, and the bendingprograming and3D simulation based on Open GL brought great convenience to the users,improving the success rate of bending programing as well as optimizing the programsequence arrangement between the bending node.The bending machine CNC system designed in this paper, worked perfectly on thebending machine manufactured by Guangzhou Shipyard International Co., Ltd. Practice hasproved that the system fulfilled the need of the user, and the whole all scheme has strongfeasibility. |
