The BXC-700Boring and Milling Machine is the specific machine tool forrepairing a small pressure vessel flange sealing surface.This machine meets someproblems while using,the thesis has studied the BXC-700Boring and MillingMachine,detailed analyzes the application performance of Boring and MillingMachine,we have studied some problems such as lathe tool is easy to be broken, thescrew can’t proof dust,the gear will be fall off; when the machine process some flangewith small diameter,people usually afraid to process those small flange for worringabout that the heavy machine can destruct the neck of flange.Summarized the regularof breakdown,found the fundamental reasons of the problems existing,by theconclusion which obtains by the analysis,we pose the program to solve the practicalproblems,redesign and do optimization design for the Boring and MillingMachine.The main content is stated below:Three dimensional modeling of the main structure of the machine with Pro/E, inthe project,we draw a three-dimensional blueprint on the basis of analysis of functionand structure of The BXC-700Boring and Milling Machine; We pose the measure toavoid the lathe tool has broken in two sides: changing tools and process used flange;Using the double nut structure to strengthen the fastening capability of the wholemachine, by comparing the design,we improve the gear structure which fall off easily;In order to solve the defect that cross feed screw can not prevent dust and ironfilings,we design an easy installation telescopic cover,and calculate the measurementof screw and telescopic cover; Have studied on best lightweight on the base of staticanalysis for chassis by the ANSYS;We do the static analysis and modal analysis forthe pivoted arm,based on the above,we do the topology optimization for it. At last, weget the total design after optimizing.After this optimized design,The BXC-700Boring and Milling Machine hasachieved a technical improvement.We solved several problems during the usedprocess,make the machine’s operating performance to be stabler. Overall weight ofthe machine has been reduced effectively,smaller flange can be processed reliably,and enlarge the corporate business, increased the competitiveness in the market ofon-site processing and repairing for pressure vessel flange sealing surface, brings themaximum economic efficiency and the social efficiency to the enterprise. At the same time, the result of the study provided experience for the machine optimization,andprovid certain reference value for the similar machine to design.
