Preparation On New Flame Retardant Elastomer Cover Layer Of Conveyor Belt

The main method of transporting materials is conveyor belt, but theordinary conveyor can easily cause a fire hazard. So it’s necessary forresearching flame retardant conveyor belt. Flame retardant cover layer is keycomponent of flame retardant conveyor belt and it should offers high-stength,high-flame resistance and high-wear resistance. The topic is the cooperationproject of Boton CoMPany and Center of Advanced Elastomer Materials. Thepurpose of the project is researching and industrializing a new flame retardantSBR cover layer rubber. This paper analysed the property of coMPanyexisting products and made the project objects. Researching andindustrializing successfully new flame retardant SBR cover layer rubber withanalysing the effects of different flame retardant systems and enhance systems.Meanwhile, researching the influence on SBR cover layer rubber smolderingand combustion properties with different flame retardant systems and enhancesystems.This paper discussed the influence of CP/Sb₂o₃, ATH, ZB, CB and WCBon SBR cover layer rubber flame resistence and enhance characteristics. Andthis essay solved the problem of balancing high-flame resistence and high-strength. Researching the impacts of flame retardents, carbonifics andreinforcing fillers on the smoldering characteristics of SBR cover layer rubber.Analysing the reasons caused smoldering characteristics. This article studiedthe effects of ATH, ATH/RP, WCB/Nano-MH, TBC and CP/Sb₂o₃/ZB onself-queching property and solved the technology problems by addingcoumarone and adjusting the ratio of WCB/coupling agent. Also, this paperdiscussed the influence of coumarone, vulcanization conditions and dosage ofWCB on wear resistence property of SBR cover layer rubber. Researching andindustrializing successfully new and cheap flame retardant SBR cover layerrubber with adjusting formulas. On the other side, this essay consideringdetailedly the iMPacts of CP/Sb₂o₃, WCB, CB on combustion characteristicof SBR cover layer rubber. CP/Sb₂o₃（1:1） and increasing the dosage of CB orWCB can improve the flame retardence characteristic. The smolderingphenomenon was cause by adding the CB.
