A Study On Population Resettlement Problem Of Wenchuan Earthquake Disaster Area

On May12,2008, an earthquake occurred in We chuan which shocked the whole world. The earthquake affects a broadly, damages greatly, and causes a large number of casualties and property losses. After the earthquake, under the unified leadership of the party central committee and the state council, the people set off a magnificent and victorious earthquake relief movement emerging a large number of earthquake relief heroes, which fully shows the power of the nation and the greatness of our government.Experienced the process of earthquake relief and temporary shelters for victims, the relief movement has entered after-disaster reconstruction phase. This paper takes the recovery of We chuan earthquake as the big background, chooses population resettlement after disaster and as the breakthrough point, also gives an integrated explanation to the elements which affect rehabilitation modes, and puts forward the thinking and system of the population resettlement modes. In addition, this paper describes how to solve people’s living life. Combined with case analysis, this paper also puts forward some corresponding countermeasures.This thesis contains six parts including the introduction, literature review, and main body and so on.Chapter one gives an introduction to the background and significance, and has a review to the study home and abroad, also has an analysis of the study methods and innovation points.Chapter two makes an analysis to the related theories which include the Definition,Connotation as well as other theories about population resettlement.Chapter three makes a introduction of environment of area of wenchuan,then introduce the status and problems of population resettlement. Lastly, we get the Conclusion that Pattern of population resettlement causes the problem of resettlement. Chapter four mainly involves options of population resettlement patterns in earthquake-prone areas. First of all, it discusses five principles of population resettlement modes, namely the security principle, the sustainable development principles, human-oriented principle, and the coordinated development of urban and rural integration principle; then, tells the solution of the problem in the aspect of rehabilitation. In this part, it puts forward five measures about Pattern of population resettlement,which are resettlement of Industry, Urbanization, Concentration,and Independent undertaking.Chapter five firstly makes a simple conclusion to this study. Then it points out the limitations. Finally, it analyzes some problems which should be paid attention to in the process of resettlement.
