In this thesis, rare earth doped probe molecules were synthesized using bipyridyl, ruthenium trichloride, rare earth chlorides as raw material, and the rare earth doped silica was also synthesized. The double doped rare earth pressure sensitive paint samples were obtained that rare earth doped probe molecules was added into the rare earth doped silica matrix. The pressure sensitive paint and the probe molecules were characterized by FTIR, SEM, EDS, UV absorption spectra and fluorescence emission spectroscopy. IR spectrum testing results show that the basic structure of bipyridine was not destroyed that the preparation process of the rare earth doped bipyridine ruthenium probe molecule. SEM showed that the probe molecules were petal-shap or petal like layered structure. EDS testing showed that analysis of probe molecule component found the rare earth elements that were doped in the probe molecules. UV absorption spectra showed that the absorption band of the probe molecule and pressure sensitive paint were200nm-500nm. the strongest fluorescence emission peak was590nm-600nm when the samples were excited by410nm. Fluorescence intensity of rare earth double doped pressure sensitive paint were decreased with the oxygen concentration increasing, indicated that the rare earth double doped pressure sensitive paint has good oxygen quenching characteristics.
