As the development of times, Computer technologies and Automatic technologies arewidely applied in various trades and occupations. Under the circumstance of more fierce marketcompetition and diversification of the customer demand, the enterprises of cloth manufacturingare speeding up the step of technological innovations. As a kind of Garment CAM equipment,Cutting Machines are very important tools for enterprises to enhance their competitiveness. Asone of the fast developing technology, Embedded Technology is widely used in Automaticoccupations. So it is meaningful to introduce Embedded Technology to the Control System ofCutting Machines.To develop the Garment Cutting Machine Control System with low-costing and highperformance, this dissertation consulted a lot of related literatures and the latest developmenttendency of Garment Cutting Systems. On the base of the research, this dissertation designed aGarment Cutting Machine Control System which based on ARM and DSP, and made some studyon the key Technologies. The main work and conclusions are listed as below:Firstly, according to the requirement of Garment Cutting Machine and the characteristics ofEmbedded Technology, it designed a Garment Cutting Machine Control System which based onARM and DSP. Then the hardware design of this system was elaborated.Secondly, after the analysis of acceleration and deceleration algorithm in common use, itresearched the S-curve acceleration and deceleration algorithm. To the condition that garmentprocessing routes consist of continuous small lines, a new speed-planning algorithm wasproposed. The effectiveness of this algorithm was proved via experiments.Thirdly, according to the functions of Garment Cutting Machine System, it designed thesoftware which included file manager software, data transmission software, data analysissoftware, motion control software, windows software and so on.Finally, it briefly summarized the whole dissertation and analyzed the advantages andshortages. Then, it proposed some advices for further research.
