Delayed coking process is widely got the attention by its simple process and lowinvestment, operation expenses in the refining industry.The140×104t/y delayedcoking unit of Luoyang branch company energy consumption of the unit was33.36kgof oil equivalent per ton in2009.There was a big gap between the level of energyconsumption of this unit and the designed value for the unit and Sinopec′s averageenergy consumption level, high energy consumption of the unit become the biggestbottleneck enter into the advanced ranks in Sinopec.For the effective analysis of the system, In the all equipments, the effective of the bigloss rate is heating furnace F1101, air tanks A1121A-H total share56.19%, and heatexchanger E1120A, B, air tanks A1401A-H, heat exchanger E1119A, B, E1208heatexchanger, the six groups of equipment listed can equipment with71.32%of theeffective loss.With the development of energy consumption of the accounting calculation softwaredevice, and through calculation by Sinopec, the energy consumption for delayedcoking unit is27.6168kgNo/t, slightly higher than26.71kgEo/t of the designenergy consumption, and the actual energy consumption is32.31KgNo/t and higherthan4.6932KgNo/t, accounting for14.52%of the actual energy consumption. Thispart is the energy saving potential of the device.Through the energy conversion, use, and recycling, the energy is recoveried. Energyconversion shows that the thermal efficiency rate does not satisfy for the standard.The part of the pump load excess; to reduce exhaust temperature heating furnace;pump, blower are induced draft fan add frequency conversion; Energy use links existweight from the wax out side after mixing can create an effective loss and put forwardthe main fractionator operation optimization measures. Energy recovery does notmake full use of waste heat, and improve the heat in and out Suggestions fortemperature.Finally, the optimize measures and suggestions are put forward with delayed cokingunit:(1) thermal load device of the heating furnace is biggest influence on energyconsumption, total heat load of33.07%. And it is the device that first energy-intense. The improvement of thermal energy conservation furnace of thermal efficiency isvery impoytant.(2)The effective utilization efficiency of air cooling devicesA1115A-H, A1121A-H are all lower than40%. The hot streams inlet temperature are117℃,140℃, and the low temperature heat of this part should be recycled.(3)There are big load wave, periodic production and the cycle length long in the delayedcoking plant. The frequency converter pump and fan can be adopted to reduce powerconsumption effectively. And the reasonable utilization of "peak and valley" of theelectricity price can improve the economic benefits.
