Hot sinter linear vibrating screen works in high temperature environment, and issubjected to high frequency vibration load and severe wearing from sinter, among theequipments used in iron making plant,the reliability of hot sinter vibrating screen is theworst Therefore, it is significant to prevent structure resonance, reduce stressconcentration, reduce the side plate temperature and thermal stress measures for extendingthe life of vibrating screen in the design of hot sinter vibrating screenTake large-size hot sinter linear vibrating screen as the research object, using3ddesign software PRO/E,the geometric mode for large-size hot sinter vibrating screen iscreated. The modal analysis of the vibrating screen was implemented using ANSYS, thenatural frequency of vibration screen and the corresponding vibration mode were obtained;also through harmonic response analysis of the vibrating screen using ANSYS, the stressdistribution of it under the condition of steady state were obtained; Using ANSYS,thetemperature field analysis was performed respectively under three cases that the side plateof screen with uniform thickness heat insulation board, non-uniform thickness heatinsulation board and without the board. The results of the three cases indicate thattemperature of the side plate under the second case distributes uniformly and is lowest;the thermal stress analysis for vibrating screen using ANSYS The thermal stressdistribution of the three cases of hot sinter linear vibrating screen was obtained, and theresults also show that thermal stress of vibrating screen in the second case reducessignificantly compared with other cases.A new idea to reduce the side plate temperature and thermal stress was put forward inthis paper, it is helpful to these kinds of mechanical design and improvement.
