Global climate change has caused the imbalance of water resources, reduction ofagricultural output, ecological system damage, the occurrence of extreme weatherphenomenon. Make the climate change issue become the focus of concern on theinternational. At the same time, research on carbon balance theory and practice began tobe hot, and develop rapidly in all fields. China’s rural population accounts for58.24%ofthe population, while the rural area account for57.09%of the national total land area, soit’s necessary to research China’s rural carbon balance.Meanwhile, China’s total energyconsumption in rural areas increased by32.1%from2000to2007, the average annualgrowth of4.0%. With the rural economic development, the production and constructionand life energy consumption caused in carbon emissions increase year by year, affectingthe carbon balance of China’s rural areas seriously.China is a large agriculturalcountry, develop the rural low-carbon community actively, is not only the need to realizethe energy and emission reduction, but also the need to improve the countryside ecologicalenvironment, can also provide scientific evaluation method for the development ofChina’s rural low-carbon community. This paper described the related terms and concepts of carbon balance control studies, learned from domestic and international progress of the research and practice ofcarbon balance. Analyzed the the main factors and indicators of carbon balance in Yanhevillage, including soil carbon balance, water carbon balance, plant carbon balance and thecarbon balance of residential factors. Established the methods and procedures to solve thecarbon balance problems. This paper constructed carbon balance evaluation system of Yanhe village, the16specific indicators including soil carbon, soil carbon sequestration, water emissions, forest carbon sinks, clean energy and building energy consumption, then establisheda basic carbon balance model. To take Yanhe village status as an example, calculatedeach indicator; calculated the concrete weir data of carbon balance, proposed theconclusions and recommendations of the results. Finally, this paper made aconclusion and outlook.
