Cashmere fiber is precious natural textile raw which know as soft gold in theworld, the textile products are loved by the people with its own unique light, soft,smooth and other features. However, because of the typical scale structure, shrinkagehas a great impact on machine washable wear and washing of cashmere products.With the development of textile industry, the inherent qualities of cashmere productshave been paid more attention by the people. How to improve cashmere’sshrink-proof technology has become one of the priorities of research in cashmereindustrial enterprises.The issue introduced cashmere’s shrink-proof process in neutral ad acidicconditions, and discussed the corresponding process using orthogonality experiment.Select cashmere yarns’ shrinkage, breaking strength, breaking elongation and elasticas four indicators in shrink-proof process test, optimized the temperature, time,potassium permanganate amount, additive amount and pH of cashmere yarn’s neutral,acidic shrink-proof using fuzzy mathematics and the cosine weighting method. Theoptimal process as follows: pretreatment(the temperature is40℃,the time is10min)â†'potassium permanganate oxidation(saturated (NH4)2SO4, the potassiumpermanganate concentration(owf) is3%, additive concentration(owf) is3%, treatmenttemperature is40℃,the processing time is40min, bath ratio is1:50)â†'washing(thetemperature is40℃,three times)â†'reduction treatment(sodium bisulfate concentrationis30g/L, acetic acid concentration is2%, the temperature is50℃,the time is5min,bath ratio is1:50)â†'washing(the temperature is40℃,three times)â†'softening(aminosilicone softener concentration is5%, the temperature is40℃, the time is40min,bath ratio is1:50)â†'drying(temperature is temperature is90℃, the time is20min). Inthis optimized process conditions, the optimize performance indicators of cashmereyarn are: shrinkage is0.47%, breaking strength is142.50cN, breaking elongation is44.26%, elastic is4.72%.This topic also tested cashmere’s shrinkage, breaking strength, breakingelongation, whiteness, elastic, flexibility, abrasion resistance and moisture absorption in before and after treatment. Cashmere yarn is woven into knitting required toconduct dye study, tested the shrinkage (FZ/T7009-1999) and pilling(GB/T4802.3-2008), and analyzed the surface morphology of cashmere fiber in theyarn by electron microscopy under different processing conditions.Experiments show that, after potassium permanganate shrink-proof treatment,cashmere yarn’s shrinkage is significantly reduced, breaking strength and elongationdecrease slightly, whiteness and flexibility are enhancement, abrasion resistance isdown. The moisture tests show the moisture regain of cashmere yarn has increased,the dyeing rate and depth of the yarn knitting which has treated with shrink-proofprocess are increased, and shrinkage is from12.32%to3.65, cashmere yarn knittingprocess pilling rating of45, fully meet the international Wool Secretariat for feltingwool fabric performance requirements, and cashmere yarn fiber surface morphologyis good after potassium permanganate oxidation treatmented.Treated cashmere yarn’s shrinkage using potassium permanganate, the wet fiberfriction coefficient along the scales have a tendency to increase, and the directionalfriction effect is reduced, it’s help to improve the shrink performance of cashmereyarns. Also, the whiteness, softness of cashmere yarn have been effectively improvedafter potassium permanganate treatment, protecting the feeling and style of cashmereeffectively.
