Compared to wool, cashmere fiber is fineness finer and shorter, strengthless. These shortcomings make it difficult to the development of light and thin cashmere products. Due to the high cost, the cashmere products aren’t popular among the consumers. Not only the cashmere but also the spinnability of cashmere can be improved when cashmere blended with other fibers, so it is necessary to develop cashmere blended yarn and fabrics.In this paper, the slip draft principle of wool spinning frame was introduced on cotton ring spinning. Slippery drawing roller was used on the cotton ring spinning so that cashmere/wool blended yarn can be spun on it. Research on the effect on the process of spinning using the slippery drawing roller or not used it to the properties of cashmere/wool blended yarn. Meanwhile, experiments were designed so that the line density limitation of cashmere/wool blended yarn were explored spun by using slippery drawing roller on cotton ring spinning or using non-slippery drawing roller on cotton ring spinning.The technical performance of cashmere/wool blended yarn which spun by using slippery drawing roller on cotton ring spinning and spun by using non-slippery drawing roller on cotton ring spinning were compared. When the linear density of the cashmere/wool blended yarn is 12.5×2tex(80Nm/2) or 11.1×2tex(90Nm/2), the unevenness CV value, strong, linear density deviation and coefficient of variation of the linear density, twist and twist variation coefficient of variation of the cashmere/wool blended yarn spun by using slippery drawing roller on cotton ring spinning were improved.Through experiments it is concluded that: the linear density of cashmere/wool blended yarn is 10tex(100Nm) 100% wool can be spun on the cotton ring spinning which used the non-slippery drawing roller, but the linear density of cashmere/wool blended yarn is 10tex(100Nm) 84 % wool/16% cashmere can not be spun on it. However, not only the linear density of cashmere/wool blended yarn is 10tex(100Nm) 100% wool can be spun on the cotton ring spinning which used the non-slippery drawing roller, but also the linear density of cashmere/wool blended yarn is 10tex(100Nm) 84 % wool/16% cashmere can be spun on it, and in accordance with industry standards of the technical indicators of the woolen yarn,it can be rated as second-class products. The line density of cashmere/wool blended yarn is 8.3tex(120Nm) 80% wool/10% cashmere/10% silk can successfully be spun on the cotton ring spinning which used the non-slippery drawing roller, and in accordance with industry standards of the technical indicators of the woolen yarn, it can be rated as excellent products.
