Vacuum arc remelting furnace is a very important equipment for melting refractory alloys and active metals which plays an important role in the preparation of special materials. Strength analysis and parametric design of vacuum arc remelting furnace is an important question for discussion along with development on aviation’s industry and increased demand on titanium alloy.The results of analysis for structural strength can be used to direct the method of design of the lifter system of vacuum arc furnace.And the thesis has chiefly carried on research of lifter system of2T-vacuum arc furnace as following aspects:(1) Dynamic contact emulation analysis of lifter system of2T-vacuum arc furnace is operated with ANSYS/LS-DYNA software. The stress and deformation during the promotion process are calculated. The result indicates that the maximum von Mises stress of each region of the lifter system of vacuum arc furnace is significantly less than the yield limit of the material under the workload, but the safety factor is too large, it is a waste of material.(2) Modal analysis of dynamical analysis on the lifter system of vacuum arc furnace has been done with finite element analysis software ANSYS.Through the modal analysis, the frontal6natural frequencies have been achieved and in the background the frontal6vibration modes are gained, Which can direct dynamical design of the lifter system of vacuum arc furnace.(3) Based on the theoretical analysis, the thesis studies stability characteristics of the lifter system. Eigenvalue buckling analysis being used to forecast the theory bucking intensity of an ideal elasticity structure, because the initial defect and nonlinearity, many buckling behaviors of actual structure are not happened in the elastic buckling intensity place, therefore, it is necessary to use nonlinear buckling analysis for this situation.The buckling loads in eigenvalue buckling and nonlinear buckling analysis are compared, it indicates that analytical result of eigenvalue buckling is excessively conservative. (4) The simplized finite element model and contact analysis for bolt with pre-tightened force and bolt structure of hoisting systems was introduced in this paper. Nonlinear contact arithmetic of ANSYS is applied for simulating complex stress of bolt with pre-tightened force and emulating bolt joint truly. By pretension element method, pre-tightened force of bolt is caused. The result indicates that stress concentration spot is existed in thread roots. Reliable references are provided for strength computation of bolt connection from complex structure.
