Helical drill is widely applied to processing,its characteristics is concerned about good self-centering function.It is very suitable for being used in the CNC machines, because it is able to improve the accuracy of drilling,to decrease the fine machining allowance, to diminish the axial drilling force, and to enhance the durability.Parallel kinematical machines(PKM) have many advantages,like high rigidity,strong carrying capacity,good dynamic performance,fast speed,and simple structure,etc.PKM can grind the tools through the digital control program and servo control system. So,a biglide parallel machine,which just only need2ganged axises,is presented to realize the helical drill point grinding.With the development of the computer software and hardware technology, utilizing computer technology has been an effective measure to make the motion trajectory simulation for PKM in space.Simulation technology will increase the efficiency and save the cost, for example, parameter setting and debugging. In recent years, the developing virtual simulation technology which is able to set up a three-dimensional(3D) environment and have a real-time interactive relationship with the outside world,has been increasingly used in the field of PKM simulation.For laying a solid foundation of the bigilide parallel machine’s control system, VRML(Virtual Reality Modeling Language) and Javascript are used to set up a virtual environment and a3D model of the bigilide parallel machine,also to develop an interactive virtual simulation platform based on webpage(HTML),on condition that kinematic is demonstrated.The platform supplies friendly interface to make the users choice function modules conveniently,control the structural members’motion of the bigilide parallel machine in the3D virtual scene, realize the motion trajectory simulation, and observe the situation and problem of motion intuitively. The process of the structural members can be observed from every angle in this simulation system based on the found of3D virtual environment,and the operator will have a illusion of immersion easily.Through the comparision with the mechanism of grinding and the trajectory curve of the model machine,it is shown that the trajectory simulation of the biglide parallel grinder is feasible and its effect is satisfying.Because the simulation system is easy to develop and the platform is in common use,good for expansibility,with the web permeating every field day by day,the ability of transplanting and expanding easily is a key advantage of the system.
