Compact spinning system with hollow rollers is an important branch of hollow compactspinning system. So far, the researches on this compact spinning system mainly focus onprocess optimization, equipment upgrading and yarn property testing, whereas the problemsinvolving airflow movement rule of concentration area, airflow movement properties underdifferent technological parameters and different modular construction, and the effects ofairflow on yarn qualities aren’t studied at present. Aiming at this, in this paper, using fluidmechanics, the flow field distribution of concentration area when adopt different types ofairflow guide device and concentration rollers is discussed, which establishes theory basis forreal system optimization design.Firstly, three-dimensional physical model and mathematical model of perforated rollers concentration area flow field are built, simulating and representing concentration area flow field of perforated rollers compact spinning system with Fluent software, and getting airflow distribution rules of concentration area three-dimensional flow field. Based on this, simulating static pressure and flow velocity of concentration area flow field respectively, the concentration area includes two kinds: no airflow guide device and install three different types of airflow guide device, the influence of airflow guide device to concentration area flow field is indicated after comparative analysis. Secondly, use concentration rollers with circular slot and straight slot to simulate static pressure and flow velocity distribution of concentration area flow field, theeffect of different perforated structure to concentration area flow field distribution is analyzed. Finally, the application effect of airflow guide device and concentration rollers is discussed, in order to test the accuracy of flow field simulation.Combining flow field simulation and spinning experiments, following conclusions can be reached: the distance from central position of suction slot is shorter, the air speed is higher.On the outside surface of hollow rollers, the airflow moves in the direction parallel to the yarns gathering direction, after getting suction slot, the airflow moves at an angle to centre line ofsuction slot gradually. The distance from the outside surface of hollow rollers is shorter, eachaxial velocity component of airflow is higher, and the volatility of airflow is bigger. After installing airflow guide device, static pressure and flow velocity of concentration area are promoted obviously. The promotion effect of a type device is biggest; the static pressure and flow velocity variation coefficient is least. Each axial airflow speed of straight slot concentration areais lower than circular slot’s, but airflow movement is more regular.
