The coal is our country’s main energy, it is the foundation of the nationaldevelopment. However, coal and mining industry is one of the most serious disasters.More than70percent of coal and gas outburst occur in process of tunneling coalroadway. It has a great theoretical and practical value to realize the coal seam gas flowwhen excavating tunnels.The paper takes Tiexin coal mine of the Shanxi Baoli mining corporation as theresearch background, mainly research the coal face of E901. The interaction of coaldeformation and gas flow when excavating tunnels is analyzed, basing on thefluid-structure coupling effect.In the first, though the permeability experiment, the coal samples deformationcharacteristics, strength properties and the permeability character and other physicalmechanics properties are analyzed. Though the experiment we receive the relationshipbetween permeability and effective stress, pore pressure, and comparative analysis thepermeability-the strain curve and whole stress and strain curve.And then establish the gas-solid coupling mathematics equations based on theexcavation process of coal rock mass deformation and the gas flow. In the equation, thecoal gas diffusion and desorption are considered. The research results provide the theorybasis for the coupling using Comsol of the coal gas flow and deformation.The next do numerical simulation using the established mathematical of fluid-solidcoupling, and Proceed the numerical simulation post-processing, analysis the coal seamdeformation characteristics and the gas flow law in the process of roadway drivage,under the different roadway drivage length and different exposure time. Finally,comparison the simulation results and the practical, increase the reliability of numericalsimulation.
