With the rapid economical development, energy demand increasesvigorously. Environmental pollution and greenhouse effect become more andmore serious, which poses a threat to our lives and the modern economic. Alarge number of microthermal heat energy exists in the mine return air, whichcan not be used at present. It not only causes a waste of energy, but alsoaggravates the greenhouse effect to discharge the mine return air into theatmosphere directly. If the wasted energy can be recycled, it does help toachieve the purpose of environment protection and energy saving.Firstly, this paper analyzes the characters of flow and heat transfer of minereturn air, rationalizing the feasibility of heat recycle of mine return air withcomputational fluid dynamics theory. Secondly, the paper confirms the systemscheme for the waste heat recovery and comprehensive utilization of minereturn air, make the problem of waste in summer be solved, and offer thedesign and calculation method of this system, utilizing the characteristics ofmine return air. Finally, the paper expounds the economical efficiency of thesystem intuitively by comparing it with several other ones in terms of initialinvestment and operation cost. The waste energy recovery and comprehensive utilization of main returnair in mine is a practical and new technology. It has mang advantages, such aswide adaptability, environmental protection, energy saving and so on. Usingthis technology, it can not only meet the needs of heating, but also reduce theconsumption of energy. According with the requirement of scientific outlookon development, it has a good and wide application prospect.
