Forming grinding wheel dressing is characteristic of the outline and the processing of the work piece contour conforming to the shape; it is a high-precision, high-efficiency, low-cost and fine processing method. The products’forming grinding accuracy mainly depends on the precision contour grinding wheel dressing. Triaxial linkage any busbar wheel dresser Combined wheel dressing technology and CNC technology, triaxial linkage any busbar wheel dresser can trim the grinding wheel into any busbar grinding wheel through the CNC machining process, and make the wheel dresser achieve high precision, high efficiency and high flexibility of general-purpose equipment.Based on a the SINUMERIK802C CNC system, the purpose of this research is to design triaxial linkage any busbar grinding wheel finishers which is used to grinding dressing for complex part forming grinding, such as gear cutting tools and tap Groove. The mechanical structure of the triaxial any bus wheel finishers are redesigned and improved on the basis of the widely-used small cross slide, thus it makes the finisher has good static and dynamic characteristics; Siemens802C CNC and Siemens servo system are adopt in electrical control, so that the precision requirements of the finisher contour dressing of the grinding wheel can be achieved. Development of high-precision, high-efficiency and high-flexible triaxial linkage any busbar wheel dresser has great practical significance in engineering.The main works of this paper are as follows:1) According to application of the grinding wheel in forming grinding, the working principle and characteristics of CNC grinding wheel finishers are analyzed, and the overall design of the triaxial linkage any busbar wheel dresser are completed.2) Designed the mechanical structure of Grinding wheel dressing machine, which include a base, guide, ball screw, C shaft planetary reducer, the selection and verification of structure are also implemented. 3) The CNC system hardware structure of grinding wheel dressing machine has been designed, and the system parameters are initialized; the system control loop are adjusted to obtain good steady-state and dynamic characteristics.4) To write parameters and serialization CNC machining program of wheel dresser for tap Groove.In this project the triaxial linkage any busbar wheel dresser have been designed based on the SINUMERIK802C CNC systems. The design of mechanical structure is completed and a real-time reliable communication between the SINUMERIK802C CNC system and servo control system as well as machine body is achieved, the machine has the basic function as a triaxial linkage any busbar wheel dresser.
