Safety Management System Study Of BE Company

As a pillar industry of national economy, Chemical industry plays an important role in the economic and social development. Currently, China’s economy is rapidly developing the domestic demand for chemical products have also increased, thus the quantity of chemical enterprise and the scale of production is also constantly expanding. The chemical industry presents the production safety accident frequency state, at the same time with scale and rapid development, especially extraordinarily serious, serious accidents occurred frequently, have significant impact to the country’s reputation, the national economy, the lives and property of the people, and the natural environment. After2001, many domestic enterprises have established and implemented the occupational health and safety management system, however many enterprises consider that after the implementation of occupational health and safety management system, the effects are not achieve enterprise expectations of OHSMS. Currently the evaluation methods of the effectiveness of safety management system implementation, and the system operation and problem analysis have its flaws and restrictions. BE company, as the world top500enterprises, is the industry’s leading enterprises. In2007, BE begun to establish occupational health and safety management system, but the company management think that the implement of the occupational health and safety management system does not meet the company’s expectation. This thesis, concentrates on, through studying the problems when the BE company setting up and carrying out the occupational health and safety management, evaluating its effectiveness of OHSMS; analyzing the safety management system to find out existing problems in the process of OHSMS implementation of the enterprise, and putting forward Suggestions for the enterprises.This thesis, to explore the combination of the performance appraisal and the employees’ knowledge, attitude and behavior analysis method and accident analysis method to evaluate and analyze the validity and existing problems of BE company’s occupational health and safety management system implementation, and provides China domestic chemical enterprise’s safety management system and evaluation, and the analysis of existing problems to provide effective reference.
