Synthesis Of N-heterocyclic Carbene-palladium-imidazole Complexes And Their Reactivity

The thesis mainly focuses on the synthesis and application ofN-heterocylic carbene-palladium-imidazole complex, for shortNHC-Pd-Im. There are two parts in the following article.1. A N-phenyl proline derived NHC-Pd-Im complex was synthesized.The structure of this complex was confirmed by X-ray diffraction.Coupling of benzoic anhydride with arylboronic acids is a effectivemethod for the synthesis of diaryl ketones. The synthesized N-phenylproline skeletoned NHC-Pd-Im complex has good activity in catalyzingthe reaction in water at room temperature.2. A steric hindered NHC-Pd(II)-Im complex was found to be a goodcatalyst for the coupling of benzoxazoles with aryl chlorides andsubstituted benzyl chlorides.
