Ever since a long time ago, as the most economical method of manufacturinghigh-precision and high surface quality parts, high-speed milling machining has been playingan important role in the national economy. However, compared with foreign CNC machiningcenters, domestic ones fall far behind in milling level. Therefore, it is very significant toestablish systematically industrial engineering for manufacturing enterprises in China so as tooptimize the production planning and scheduling, process design, and cutting guidance.High-speed milling control and simulation is part of the systems engineering, and plays a veryimportant role in this process, it not only improves machining accuracy and security of theproducts but also shortens manufacturing time.This project mainly focus on the the research and realization of the certain parts ofhigh-speed milling process monitoring and simulation technology from the followingaspects-structural design, hardware structure, frequency converter communication program ofthe machine,The Curve drawing of Chatter stability lobe,To flutter under the givenprocessing conditions to determine,3D animated simulation of the milling process.(1) Based on Modbus ASCII/Modbus RTU, It design a frequency convertercommunication program of high-speed milling machine,And has these features, frequencyconverter communication, Data acquisition, Data communications transport protocolconversion and so on. It study mainly on the design and realization of an algorithm relevant tocommunication programming.(2) The theoty of data pool was applied in Monitoring part to realize the drawing ofmonitoring data dynamically,monitoring results can be used to record the work status aboutmachine tools;if the machine work anomaly, stop instructions would be issued by a computerautomatically.(3) It realised the drawing of curve on the flutter stability of nc machine tools limitationand the simulation of the three dimensional animation on milling process respectively,whichbased on the model with the dynamic characteristics parameter about milling process andopenGL technology.(4) the project covers corresponding experiments, analyzing the contrast between theformer result and the latter one of system application, testing the possibilities that the monitorand simulation system improves the efficiency of high speed milling and reduces the loss ofit.There are two innovations in this subject. For one thing, the monitoring module does not use NC code and the PLC, it is a monitoring software module based on own research anddevelopment.For another, simulation module does not use existing CAD/CAM simulationtechnology, the simulation software module is developed through the use of open OpenGLtechnology. Although compared with the same type of mature foreign software, this systemhas some shortcomings, it takes the first step in researching the high-speed milling processmonitoring and simulation system.In this paper, first, there is a brief introduction of research purposes, foundation andsystematically basic theory of high-speed milling process monitoring and simulation system,then the next part of the paper focuses on the needs analysis, structural design, algorithmdesign and implementation and testing of the system. The last part of the paper is about theexperimental results and views about the further study.
