A series of mining-induced excessively environmental problems threaten the livesand property of people, and seriously affect and constrain the development of economy. That dividing mining geo-environment can provide scientific basis for the governmentcarry the case of protecting and treating mining geo-environment, and rational exploitmining resources, so the research is of great actual meaning and theory value. On the basis of investigation on the Yangjiazhangzi district spot of Huludao andresearch at the mine geological environment has got lots of data for the paper such asmining geo-environment background, exploit method and mining develop currentsituation. By the fact that analysis to mining geo-environment background and mininggeo-environment problem studies, finding out the main mining geo-environment problemof this District, from the regional geology environment background, the resources damageand the geological hazard three aspects selects the appraisal factor, establishes theappraisal index system and uses AHP to get weighting, selects Synthetic Appraisalevaluation model and bases on ARCGIS to get the mine geology environmental effectsubareas of research area. The paper draws following conclusion are as follows:(1) The result of investigation and remote sensing image interpretation shows that themajor mining ores are molybdenum minerals, iron ores and limestone in research area, themain geological environmental problems are land covered and destroyed, ground surfaceecological damaged, pollutions and kinds of geologic hazard, including surface collapse, ground fissure, mud-rock flow, collapse, hillside creep and unstable slooe.(2) This study divides the mine geological environment comprehensive evaluationinto four levels: mine geology environmental seriously affected region, less seriouslyaffected region, generally affected region and non-affected region.(3) The range of remote sensing interpretation is Yangjiazhangzi district of Huludao,an area of1562.82km2. The region was divided into24partitions, including two minegeological environment seriously affected regions with a total area of8.84km2, eight less seriously affected regions with a total area of33.97km2, thirteen generally affected regionwith a total area of168.64km2and one non-affected region with an area of1139.91km2.(4) The seriously affected regions are centers on the Yangjiazhangzi town andGangtun town. Environmental issues of the study area distribute along the north-east,consistent with the strata, and with the increased mining activities, there is a trend toexpand on both sides. Mining activity is very frequent in the regions that are rich inmolybdenum minerals and iron ores, it not only leads to mining collapse, ground fissure, landslides and other hazards, but also occupies and destroys a large number of land orvegetation. The regions are difficult to restore the mine geological environment. The lessseriously affected regions are mainly distributes in Lanjiagou, Huashan town, Gangtuntown and their surrounding areas. There are a number of quarries in these areas, most ofthe quarries are petal-like limestone mining pit. Mining activities without environmentalprotection measures occupies and destroys large acreage of land and vegetation in theregions. The mine geological environment can restore after treatment. The generallyaffected regions distributes in the central and eastern of the study area. In the regions, there are scattered small non-metallic minerals for construction, without water and soilpollutions and less impact on the surrounding environment, the mine geologicalenvironment is easy to restore. Non-affected region without mines has no effect on theenvironment.
