With the development of modern industry, the surface coating quality of automobiles, motorcycles, appliances, hardware, toys, and industrial articles for daily use is required higher and higher, both to meet certain mechanical performance requirements, but also to meet the requirements of uniform coating thickness. In recent years, the continuous improvement of the paint quality and the continuous improvement of the coating process has greatly contributed to the improvement of the quality of the industrial products’surface coating, but at the same time brought many problems such as:large environmental pollution, low utilization rate of the paint, low coating efficiency, high energy consumption, solvents and waste paint recycling and processing difficultly. To solve these problems, our team developed an environmental vacuum electrostatic coating line based on the previous generations of vacuum electrostatic coating equipments.This paper focuses on the transmission system and curing system of the environmental vacuum electrostatic coating line. These two systems are closely linked to the final spray quality of the product surface. The research subject mainly from the school-enterprise cooperation projects "Tacking key technologies of environmental vacuum coating with high efficiency and energy-saving".This paper completed the following works:Firstly, this paper analyzes the structure of the old plating rack, and finds out the reasons that the work-piece cannot rotate smoothly are unreasonable structure design, manufacturing error and the low assembly accuracy. After identified these problems, a new plating rack has been designed and a prototype has been manufactured.Secondly, the entire pipeline transmission system (including the drawing mechanism of work-piece-carrying-vehicle and the rotation system of work-piece). The ball screw drive is used as power-driven parts for the drawing mechanism of work-piece-carrying-vehicle. Because of the work-piece-carrying-vehicle overweight, the actual load capacity and displacement accuracy of the ball screw are tested. The experimental results are analyzed. In this paper, two solutions for the work-piece rotation system are proposed. After making comparisons, the optimal solution is obtained. In addition, this paper makes use of the ANSYS finite element analysis software on the static and heat deformation coupled analysis for the framework of the entire work-piece-carrying-vehicle. According to the results of analysis, the optimization design of the overall structure of work-piece-carrying-vehicle is completed, so that the overall weight of the work-piece-carrying-vehicle is reduced.Finally, the factors that impact on the quality of curing of the paint film are analyzed to find out that the key factor determining the quality of curing of the paint film is curing temperature.In addition,the theory of the method of radiation heat transfer is studied. The curing temperature control system on the workpiece surface is designed by a fuzzy control method. The modeling and simulation of Fuzzy control system are completed with the help of Matlab/Simulink.The simulation results show that the design of the fuzzy control system is reasonable.
