Spherical tank has some advantages compaired with cylindrical vessel. Such ashigh-pressure capability, less floor area covering. It is mainly used in perroleum, natural gasand other fields, and it is widely used for storing gas and liquefied gas. In recent years, ourcountry has made great progress in large-sized spherical tank. But, compared with otherdeveloped foreign countries, there is still a big gap in China. In order to make our country toachieve greater development in the aspects of more large-scal spherical tank, this article isbased on1500m3spherical tank, this article do the following work:First, this article introduces the characteristics of the spherical tank, introduce the presentsituation of design about large-sized spherical tank china and other countries. This articlepoints out that our country in the spherical tank stress analysis started very late. And, thisarticle studies the support structure of standards. This article mainly study the not tangentsupport, the center distance of the supports is greater than the diameter of the spherical tank,and the stress of the support number is odd number, and this article introduce the stress of thepatent of support.Second, this article select the15000m3natural gas spherical tank as the object of study,the material of the spherical tank is determined, this article study the direct connectionstructure, plus prop plate structure, U form plus diagonal Uform plate. And this article studythe stress of the support number of14, support number of15and support number of16.Finily, through analysis, the upport which the center distance of the supports is greaterthan the diameter of the spherical tank is good, and this structure is suit to the gas sphericaltank. For this spherical tank, the seismic stress of the support number of15is less than thenumber of14and15, therefore, the seismic stress of the support number is odd number is lessthan the support number is even number. The support of U form plus diagonal Uform plate issuit to the spherical tank.
